Smart
Factory

Overview

Smart
Factory

Smart Factory is the future intelligent factory with minimum cost, highest quality and maximum productivity. Based on various Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) represented by AI, organic connection of diverse objects in all areas of manufacturing including equipment and entire plant data makes possible real time status monitoring & analysis, to think, judge and control by itself in changing environment, and automation and unmanned system beyond human limits.

Smart Factory

Current Smart Factory mostly only targets the smartification of ERP, MES and production & management systems. In order to realise a true Smart Factory,
it is necessary to be accompanied by the smartification of the manufacturing equipment and equipment operation that enables productivity & quality improvement and cost
minimisation. Otherwise, the core values of Smart Factory: super intelligence, hyper connectivity, unmanned system, and non-stop system will be exceptionally challenging to fulfil.
Super
Intelligence
Smart productivity beyond human limits continues and improves itself as the equipment for itself is recognising changing environment even in unpredictable situations through analysis and self-decision making process assisted by real time data collection and AI data-learning.
Hyper
Connectivity
Organic connection of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) with all parts, the production equipment, and the operation & management systems at the manufacturing site allows real time monitoring and control of the entire process.
Unmanned
System
Human participation in the manufacturing line is minimised (unmanned) through the convergence technology of Domain Knowledge of the manufacturing equipment and the manufacturing lines in various industries, and autonomous analysis & judgement technologies of AI-based large-volume data.
Non-stop
System
Non-stop production is available by predicting necessary maintenance time in advance to execute minimum maintenance activities instead of periodic & single-time maintenance activities which cause production disruption.
